U.S. Congressional Research Service reporting on Distributed Ledger Technology in the Energy Sector

Indigo’s research on Distributed Ledger Technology in Energy was featured by the U.S. Congressional Research Service who provide policy and legal analysis to committees and Members of both the House and Senate.

The report highlights how our survey with EPRI on the adoption of blockchain in the industry shows that utilities identified opportunities and challenges to investment in blockchain technology with 77% of survey respondents identifying concerns that the energy industry lacks appropriate standards. The report also highlights that utilities in the United States were in early pilot stages or in the research phase, while some utilities in Europe have been using blockchain for over a year.
